This AFC West matchup is a wildly important one in the AFC playoff picture. The Chiefs currently sit atop the division. They are 9-4 and in a three way tie for the best record in the conference. They currently do not hold the tie breakers, hence they are currently the 3 seed. The Chargers sit one game back of the Chiefs. They are currently the top Wild Card team and sit as the conference 5 seed. Needless to say, the winner of this game will position themselves far better for a run at the division and the conference’s top seed down the stretch. The loser will likely be looking at no home playoff games and no shot at an opening round bye week.

Chiefs vs Chargers Player Prop Pick: Darrel Williams Over 18.5 Receiving Yards
✅ This Chiefs vs Chargers game should be a competitive and relatively high scoring game. These two offenses remain two of the better in the league. Most importantly, we are unlikely to see a Chiefs blow out on the road. Even though the Chiefs are playing high end and new look football right now, it is an extremely unlikely scenario to see a blowout on the road. That means we will see plenty of their passing down back, Darrel Williams. Particularly on third downs.
✅ Even with the return of Clyde Edwards-Helaire from injury, Williams has stayed quite involved in the game plan. That holds particularly true in the receiving game. Williams now has seen at least three targets in nine straight games. Needless to say, targets from Patrick Mahomes are quite a valuable commodity. Those targets set the pass catcher up to succeed, and are generally on target. That fact is clearly evidenced by the efficiency of Williams as a receiver. He has caught 38 of 46 targets this season.
✅ Knowing we likely get a favorable game script for this prop, and that the player is efficient, it will boil down to the production. Williams average screams that we will. He was unused and untargeted in the Chiefs first two games. Since then he averages 33.9 receiving yards per game. In relation to the 18.5 yard prop, he is consistently over that figure. He has had at least 19 receiving yards in six of the last eight games. That includes the last two games where a pass catching back was barely required. The offenses of the Broncos and Raiders each scored just nine points on the Chiefs. We can expect more balanced and higher scoring in Chiefs vs Chargers.
