This game will be played at Raymond James Stadium at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Why Bet The Buccaneers:
✅ The Packers are simply not as good as they looked against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. Chicago has arguably the worst offense in the NFL this season, which made things easy on the Packers in that contest. Tampa Bay is a different animal entirely, and will not allow the Packers to dominate the ball the way the Packers did in Week 2. Expect the Bucs to test the defense of the Packers en route to a big Week 3 win.
✅ Tampa Bay is third in the NFL in yards per play allowed through two weeks, giving up 4.2 yards per play. Green Bay, meanwhile, is in 26th in the league in yards per play allowed. They are allowing 6.1 yards per play, even after playing a Bears offense that is operating with training wheels on. Expect the defensive quality of the Bucs to shine through in this game to help them get a third straight win.
✅ This line feels like an overreaction to the Mike Evans suspension from last week against the New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay’s offense has not been all that impressive even with Evans, which means that losing him will not destroy their ability to score. The focal point for Tampa Bay is their defense, which will still be in great shape in this matchup.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers split their first two games of this season against division foes. They lost their season opener to the Minnesota Vikings, before crushing the Chicago Bears at home on Sunday Night Football in Week 2. Here, the Packers will look for their first road win of the year, but will need to breach one of the best defenses in the NFL in order to accomplish that goal.
The question for the Packers coming into this contest is which Green Bay team we will see here. Green Bay has played two completely opposite games so far this year. If they move the ball they way they did against the Bears, the Packers will win, while an offensive performance like they put forth against the Vikings would almost guarantee a resounding loss.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This will be the first home game of the year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after they went 2-0 on the road to start the season. Tampa started the season with a win over the Dallas Cowboys, and followed that up with a win over the New Orleans Saints. Through two games, the Bucs have allowed just 13 points, and will look for another strong defensive performance against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
Surprisingly, the question for the Buccaneers right now is whether or not they can get anything going offensively. Tom Brady has just two touchdown passes through two games, as the Bucs have failed to hit the 21 point mark in a game yet this year. If they can get there in this Packers vs Buccaneers game, the Bucs could easily win to move to 3-0.
