Packers vs Lions Betting Pick
This game will be played at Ford Field at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Why Bet The Over:
✅ The Detroit Lions have been very good offensively this year, but very bad defensively. They have averaged 24.7 points per game on the year, which ranks tied for eighth in the NFL. But they have also allowed 32.1 points per game, making them the worst scoring defense in the league. That combination will be good for an over here.
✅ This could be the spot Aaron Rodgers and the Packers need to get back on track offensively. They are facing a Lions team that ranks last in the NFL in yards per play allowed. With Rodgers starting to build a rapport with some of his young receivers, this could be the breakout game that the Packers have been waiting for, which would help it go over the total.

✅ The Lions have been elite at going over the total so far this NFL season. Detroit has seen five of their seven games go over the total this year. That trend should continue here against a Packers team that is decent defensively, but will likely give the Lions some chances to score in Detroit to make the offensive action two-sided.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers were beaten by double digits by the Buffalo Bills in their last outing. The Packers could not find an answer for Josh Allen and the Bills passing game, even if the running game of the Packers was highly effective throughout. This Sunday, the Packers will need more from their passing attack to get back into the win column.
Fortunately for the Packers, they are playing the worst defensive team in the NFL this week. Green Bay has a great chance to break their four-game losing streak this week, against a defense that is allowing more yards per play and more points per game than any other. But Aaron Rodgers and the offense will still need to execute for that to happen.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions suffered a tough loss at home in Week 8, losing to the Miami Dolphins by a score of 31-27. Detroit scored 27 first half points in that game, but failed to register a point in the final 30 minutes of action. Here, the Lions will hope for another strong start, but with a better finish to accompany it.
As has been the case all season, the defense of the Lions will be the question mark in this game against the Packers. Detroit has the worst defense in the league so far this year, which will be problematic with Aaron Rodgers on the other side. With Romeo Doubs establishing himself as a deep threat in recent weeks for Green Bay, the Lions will have to find a way to disrupt Rodgers with pressure.
