Head to Head
Teams Last 10
Pick 1: New York Giants +4.5 (-120)
The circumstances of this matchup line up nicely for the New York Football Giants in a game they need in their quest to secure a playoff spot.
First off, Minnesota hasnโt been great against the NFC East this season. In fact, the Vikings are 10-1 against the rest of the league and 1-2 in their matchups against the division.
Secondly, the Vikings canโt get away with needing big comebacks or wins they pull out of the fire of potential defeat. If the Vikings fall behind as they did against the Colts, the Giants are too well coached and disciplined to let them back into the game.
Thirdly, the Vikings struggle when they canโt stop the run and have allowed at least 130 yards on the ground in each of their losses this season. Running the football is the Giants specialty and Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones should be able to make some gains on the ground against the Vikings defensive front.
Take the Giants to cover the points in a matchup between two teams that have played in close games all season.

Pick 2: Daniel Jones Over 227.5 Passing Yards (-110)
The Vikings pass defense has given up over 800 yards in the past three games, including conceding 300+ yard days to both Jared Goff and Mike White. Those numbers give Daniel Jones a favorable matchup to get his passing yardage numbers back across the 225 yard number after some recent low yardage games through the air.
The last time Danny Dimes cleared 228 yards was when he threw for exactly that number against the Dallas Cowboys in late November. The past three weeks saw Jones average well below 200 yards per game, with his yardage numbers sitting at 160 and 169 in Week 15 and Week 14.
Still, with the Vikings secondary leaking yardage to mediocre quarterbacks it should be expected that Jones will have a far better day through the air. With a favorable matchup and the dome factor, feel good about backing Jones to cash his yardage over in this spot.

Pick 3: Justin Jefferson Over 90.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Justin Jefferson has had 100 yard days in three of the last four games for the Vikings and has another manageable total of 90.5 this week against the Giants.
New Yorkโs secondary is solid but will be facing the best wideout in football and a player on a record breaking pace in terms of accumulating yardage. Jefferson is on pace to finish with 1,971 yards entering this week, which would break Calvin Johnsonโs all-time record of 1,964 yards from the 2012 season.
With the record on the line and a recent run of strong form, Jefferson should see a third straight 100 yard day on Christmas Eve if all goes according to plan. Cashing the yardage over of 90.5 to hopefully cash this Same Game Parlay.

Giants vs Vikings Preview
Justin Jeffersonโs strong season at wideout has him sitting on top of the odds list for Offensive Player of the Year. Jefferson is a -200 favorite to win that award but is a massive longshot in MVP odds where he is +10000 to win an award typically reserved for the best quarterback in the league rather than skill position players.
The Giants win last week was earned by the play of their defensive star Kayvon Thibodeaux rather than the play of Jones or Barkley on offense. Thibodeaux forced a fumble and recovered it for a touchdown in a key play in the Giants big divisional win over Washington.
Touchdown passes have been hard to come by for Daniel Jones this season. Jones hasnโt thrown for multiple touchdowns since November 13 against the Houston Texans. Luckily for Jones, he is facing one of the worst pass defenses in the league against the Vikings who give up 278 passing yards per game.
Expect a close game on Sunday as both the Giants and Vikings live to torture their fans through nailbiters. New York and Minnesota have combined for 18 games this season decided by a touchdown or less, making for plenty of entertaining weekends of football.
