The final NFL game of the month of September is set for Thursday Night Football as the undefeated Miami Dolphins (3-0) make the visit to the midwest to take on the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals (1-2). Here, we put together a Dolphins vs Bengals parlay for this highly anticipated contest.
Thursday nightโs game became a lot more intriguing thanks to the Week 3 results from both teams, specifically Miamiโs upset home win over the Buffalo Bills. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa toughed out an apparent first half injury and along with the Dolphins defense, outlasted Bills quarterback Josh Allen to earn a big early season win over the team everyone is predicting to come out of the AFC and make the Super Bowl.
On the Bengals side of the coin, they finally got on track with their first win of the season by defeating the lowly New York Jets. Joe Burrow got back on track as well, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns on the day. Burrowโs wideouts helped out their quarterback in a big way as the trio of Tyler Boyd (105 yards, one touchdown), Tee Higgins (five catches, 93 yards) and JaโMarr Chase (six catches, one touchdown) all satisfied prop bettors and fantasy owners in Week 3.
Can the Bengals wide receivers put up another big day? Or will the Dolphins defense smother an elite quarterback for a consecutive week? Letโs take a look at some key numbers and bets to monitor for Thursday Night Football with our Dolphins vs Bengals Same Game Parlay preview.
Pick 1 | Miami Dolphins +4.5 (-125) |
Pick 2 | Tyreek Hill Over 71.5 Receiving Yards (-110) |
Pick 3 | JaโMarr Chase Over 71.5 Receiving Yards (-110) |
Parlay Odds | +600 ($20 to win $120) |
Pick 1: Miami Dolphins +4.5 (-125)
The Miami Dolphins are undefeated and looking real good atop the AFC East after their win against the Bills on Sunday. That momentum should carry over into this game as the Phins have to feel confident after a September filled with wins over AFC contenders.
Miami registered wins over the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and the aforementioned Week 3 triumph over Buffalo to start their season 3-0 in a very impressive fashion. Their undefeated record is not a cheap one built on a friendly schedule and is rather a legit indication of a team that should be considered as one of the elite teams in the league until further notice.
Short weeks on the road are always tricky, but it is too tantalizing to not take the Phins at +4.5 against a Bengals team that spent most of September struggling against much worse teams than the teams the Dolphins beat.

Pick 2: Tyreek Hill Over 71.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Leg 2 of this Dolphins vs Bengals parlay is a bit of a narrative based play as Tyreek Hill is looking for revenge against Bengals cornerback Eli Apple and is motivated to seek out some big plays on Thursday night.
Hill was on the losing end of the Bengals and Chiefs clash in the playoffs last season before moving on to Miami where he has had a phenomenal start. Week 3 was a bit of a statistical step backwards for Hill as he received just a third of the targets he received in Week 1 and Week 2, seeing just four total targets in the win over Buffalo.
In the two previous weeks, Hill received 12 and 13 targets respectively in the air and broke the 100 yard receiving mark both times. Exploding for a monster 190 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Ravens. With a bit of extra motivation at play, expect the Dolphins game plan to involve more targets for Hill than in Week 3 and more yardage from Hill as a result.

Pick 3: JaโMarr Chase Over 71.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
JaโMarr Chase had his typical amount of catches in the win over the Jets, with six receptions that included a touchdown. However, the yardage for those six catches was quite low as he compiled just 29 yards on the day as the Jets cornerbacks kept the talented young star in front of them all afternoon.
Chaseโs longest reception was for 10 yards, indicating how well the Jets secondary played him on a day where Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins did most of the damage in terms of yardage for the Cincinnati Bengals passing attack. With the same amount of targets or hopefully more, Chase should have a lot better day receiving yardage wise against the Dolphins. With the number set at 71.5, it is likely Chase gets over his receiving yardage total in this one.

Dolphins vs Bengals Preview
Miamiโs defense could be a bit fatigued on a short week in this matchup against the Bengals. The Dolphins defense spent a considerable amount of time on the field in their win over Buffalo as the Bills ran 90 offensive plays and spent 40 minutes of the game with possession of the football. With just three days to rest, the Dolphins defense has a tall task of quickly turning around and trying to stop the high powered Bengals offense.
Miamiโs defense has been great for prop bettors taking yardage overs so far this season. The Dolphins defense has allowed 413.7 yards per game entering Week 4, second most in the NFL. Strength of opponent has been a factor in the amount of yardage allowed on defense as the Dolphins have faced three very good offenses in the Patriots, Ravens and Bills.
Tua Tagovailoaโs status for Thursday night will be up in the air until closer to kickoff as the Dolphins starting quarterback was banged up by the Bills pretty good on Sunday. If Tua canโt go, Miami has a very good emergency plan in veteran backup Teddy Bridgewater who can capably step in and drive the offense if needed.
