Two of the NFL’s most disappointing teams this season will square off on Christmas Day, when the Denver Broncos face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. The playoffs are not in reach for these teams any longer, but they are still working to figure things out in the late portion of the year. In our NFL betting picks for Christmas, we analyze this Broncos vs Rams contest from Inglewood.

Why Bet the Under:
✅ This contest features the bottom-two scoring teams in the NFL. The Rams rank 31st in scoring on the year, while the Broncos rank dead last in points per game. They will play another low-scoring game in this contest.
✅ Denver ranks third in the NFL in scoring defense this season, giving up 18.1 points per game. As Baker Mayfield continues to figure things out as the quarterback of the Rams, Denver’s defense will not be forgiving for him.
✅ Denver has gone under the total more than any team in the NFL going into Week 16 play. They have gone under the total in 11 of their 14 games so far this year, and we will see them do the same here against a struggling Rams offense.

Denver Broncos
Last week, the Denver Broncos beat the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 24-15 at home, picking up their fourth win of the season. Brett Rypien and Latavius Murray was not the duo that Broncos fans expected to be cheering for this season, but they both played admirably in their role in Week 15. This week, the Broncos will aim for a second straight win against the Los Angeles Rams.
The big question for the Broncos is how Russell Wilson will perform in his presumed return to the Broncos lineup. In a cruel twist of irony, Rypien was able to walk into a game and lead the Broncos to a win, while Wilson has struggled at every turn for them. If Wilson can deliver after suffering a concussion two games ago, the Broncos could build a small, two-game winning streak.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams come into this game on a short prep week, after playing the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football in Week 15. This week, Baker Mayfield will make his third start as a member of the Rams. The question is whether he can muster enough offense to get a win over a Broncos team that is 1-6 on the road this year.
For the Rams, injuries are such a key question mark for them, as they have shut down a number of key players already. Any further injuries or benchings could have them really scraping the bottom of the barrel for production. Against a Broncos team with an elite defense, the lack of depth for the Rams could be a bigger problem than usual.
