Why Bet the Chiefs:
✅ The Denver Broncos are rolling with an interim head coach these last two weeks. They just fired Nathaniel Hackett, which will add a lack of continuity to a team that already has a long list of problems to deal with.
✅ Denver’s main problem is its offense, which ranks last in the NFL in scoring. The Broncos are averaging 15.5 points per game, over a full point worse than any other team in the league. They will continue to struggle here against a much more offensively capable opponent.
✅ Kansas City has plenty of motivation coming into the final two weeks of the season. They are behind the Buffalo Bills for the top spot in the AFC due to their head to head tiebreaker, but two wins and a Buffalo loss could give the Chiefs the one-seed.

Denver Broncos
Last week, the Denver Broncos were humiliated on Christmas Day, giving up 51 points to the Los Angeles Rams in a resounding loss. The loss was so humiliating that the Broncos finally went through with firing head coach Nathaniel Hackett after a year of disappointment after disappointment in Denver. Now it is up to the players to play with some pride to try and beat their rivals in Week 17.
The question, aside from the coaching situation, will be where the Broncos are going to go in order to generate some offense. The league’s worst scoring team can’t trust Russell Wilson to move the ball through the air, and their running game is in shambles as well. They will need way more than the 15.5 points per game the Broncos have averaged on the year if they want to win this game.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs took care of business at home on Christmas Eve, getting the better of the Seattle Seahawks at home. They have the same record as the Buffalo Bills coming into Week 17, but the Bills hold the tiebreaker in the race for the top seed in the conference. Kansas City’s only chance of taking the one-seed is to keep winning, and for the Bills to lose one of their final two contests.
As far as this game is concerned, Kansas City should be in good shape, as their offense averages 13.7 points per game more than the Broncos on the year. But any defensive lapses from the Chiefs could make this game close the way that their Week 15 win over the Texans was.
