Cowboys vs Chargers Betting Pick
This game will be played at SoFi Stadium at 10:00 PM ET on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
Why Bet The Chargers:
✅ The Chargers suffered a loss in the opening week of the preseason, but they played well with Chase Daniel under center. Daniel was 11-of-17 for 117 yards and a couple of touchdowns, while Easton Stick tossed for 119 yards and an interception. Wideouts Michael Bandy and Joe Reed combined for 11 receptions, 134 yards, and two scores.
✅ The Cowboys struggled in their preseason opener against the Denver Broncos, tallying just seven points in a ten-point defeat at Empower Field at Mile High. They couldn’t find the end zone through the first three quarters, and the Cowboys’ receiving corps seemed pretty thin.

✅ Dallas yielded a thumping 285 passing yards in Week 1. Furthermore, the Cowboys committed a whopping 17 penalties for 129 yards and failed to force a turnover.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys failed to cover a 4.5-point spread in a 17-7 defeat at the Denver Broncos this past Saturday. Ben DiNucci threw for 112 yards and a touchdown, while Cooper Rush finished with 84 yards and an interception. The Cowboys carried the pigskin 28 times for 141 yards, and Malik Davis led the way with 51 yards on eight carries. Dallas’ run defense allowed only 39 yards on 22 totes, but the Cowboys’ secondary was awful. Their pass D has been a huge problem over the last couple of seasons.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers lost to the LA Rams 29-22 at the start of the 2022 NFL preseason. They outgained the reigning Super Bowl champions 312-232 in total yards, but the Chargers didn’t control the clock well and couldn’t force a turnover on the other side of the ball. Michael Bandy led the charge with seven catches for 73 yards and a TD, while Isaiah Spiller added 34 yards on ten carries. Joshua Kelly carried the ball three times for 16 yards, and the third-year RB should get more playing time in the next two weeks.
