This game will be played at MetLife Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Why Bet The Giants:
✅ The Ravens have the better offense coming into this contest, but the Giants are superior defensively. New York is allowing a half-yard per play less than the Ravens this season, and over 70 yards per game less as well. Expect the superior defense of the Giants to come through in this contest, even if they have to defend the dynamic Lamar Jackson.

✅ The Giants rank second in the NFL in rushing yardage, averaging 179 yards per game on the ground. That helps them in two ways, by preventing too many third and long situations, and by allowing them to chew up the clock. New York ranks sixth in time of possession this season, and their ability to keep the ball will help them keep the ball away from Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense.
✅ The Giants have been a second half team this season, scoring 14 points per second half through five weeks and allowing just 7.8 points per second half. The Ravens, meanwhile, are allowing the fourth-most points per second half this year at 14.8 points per. Expect the Giants to make this game a sweat in the second half, whether they win or not.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens got a dramatic win on Sunday Night Football in Week 6, beating the Cincinnati Bengals on a last-second field goal by Justin Tucker. The Ravens got out to a 10-0 lead early in the game, but struggled to hold onto that lead, which has become a common problem for them this season. Here, the Ravens will aim to do better with a lead against an opponent with a winning record.
For the Ravens, the consistency of Lamar Jackson just has not been there this season. When he is playing well, he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but his inconsistency on deep throws and his careless turnovers over the last couple of weeks need to be addressed.
New York Giants
The New York Giants trailed the Green Bay Packers 17-3 in London last week. But they came back and won that game 27-22, crushing the Packers in the second half. This week, the Giants will look for another strong finish to move to 5-1 and really start a conversation around a potential run to the postseason. To do that, though, they will need to contain Lamar Jackson.
With the Ravens, there is a much smaller margin for error for defenses, as Jackson can break the pocket and run. They also have a near-automatic place kicker in Justin Tucker making their scoring range much larger than that of most teams. That will put pressure on the Giants defense to be even better than they have been already this season, and it will be interesting to see how they respond.
