NFL Week 6 wraps up on Monday Night with Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos. Both of these teams got some help from the Bills in the AFC West on Sunday. The Bills win over the Chiefs means the Chargers can tie them atop the division with a win, or the Broncos could stay within a game of the division lead.
We know the Broncos have been one of the more dysfunctional organizations thus far in 2022. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett has seemed to be in over his head. Russell Wilson has performed quite poorly i comparison to the trade equity given to acquire him, and then the massive contract. Even still, the Broncos are 2-3 and could stay at .500 with a win on Monday Night. Needless to say, the season would essentially slip away were they to fall to 2-4 instead.
The Chargers on the other hand have seen their offense improve week to week. The current version is what we all anticipated entering the season. The balance they have found with the run game taking off has propelled them to two straight wins. Set as four point favorites in this matchup, the oddsmakers believe that success will continue.
We will have you covered for player props and same game parlays on all of the prime time games this season.
Austin Ekeler Prop Bet
The Chargers did not begin the season finding success on the ground, and the 1-2 start was evidence of that. That aspect of the offense has turned the corner, with the absolute explosion against the Browns last week being the most recent of the success. Ekeler exploded for 173 rushing yards on just 16 carries. Josh Kelley added another 49 yards on 10 carries. The Chargers offense has found the balance it needed and will once again be dangerous going forward. Enter a matchup with the dysfunctional Broncos. They allowed 102 rushing yards to replacement level Deon Jackson and Philip Lindsay last week. 144 yards to Josh Jacobs the week before that. The Broncos have allowed at least 60 rushing yards to a back in every single week before that as well, none of which eclipsing 15 carries. Backs have not required high volume to find success against Denver, and that has held true each and every week.
We know Ekeler is not short on ability, and he will be the next back to find success against the Denver front. His rushing total is set at just 60.5 yards, the amount Denver has surrendered every single week. We could see another explosion similar to last week. Even if the output is toned down in comparison, that 60 yard figure should be considered his floor. Take the over.
