New Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and new head coach Nathaniel Hackett look to end their dismal start to life in Mile High country when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. The Niners return to life with Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting quarterback after starting quarterback Trey Lance suffered a season ending ankle injury last week. Here, we have a 49ers vs Broncos parlay for this Sunday night clash.
The good news for the 49ers was that they beat a Seattle Seahawks team that handed the Broncos a Week 1 loss despite losing Lance to injury. Garoppolo took the reins and threw for 154 yards in an emergency effort for the Niners.
Denver earned their first win of the season in a 16-9 over the Houston Texans. However, there was little to feel good about as the Broncos were forced to sweat out a win over a lowly Houston team many expect to be at the bottom of the AFC South. Wilson had a bad game by his standards as well, completing 14/31 of his passes along with an interception on the day.
Will Wilson and Hackett silence the growing number of doubters with an improved offensive performance? Can Jimmy Garoppolo thrive in his old role as the Niners starter after originally losing his job? These are the questions bettors have to ask themselves when looking at the betting markets for Sunday Night Football and making a 49ers vs Broncos Same Game Parlay.
Pick 1 | Denver Broncos Moneyline (+108) |
Pick 2 | Deebo Samuel Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-114) |
Pick 3 | George Kittle Over 45.5 Receiving Yards (-114) |
Parlay Odds | +570 ($20 to win $113.90) |
Pick #1: Denver Broncos Moneyline (+108)
The Denver Broncos have faced their fair share of critics after two weeks, with a growing contingent pushing the narrative that Nathaniel Hackett isn’t cut out as an NFL head coach after spending his career as a coordinator. That being said, the Broncos are 1-1 and the sky has yet to fall on the Rocky Mountains.
Denver struggled in the first three quarters against the Texans but ended on a strong note in the fourth quarter to ultimately end the day with the win. Wilson was inaccurate, but Courtland Sutton finished with 122 yards receiving and the Broncos moved the ball enough to reward their defense with a comeback win in the fourth quarter.
San Francisco won’t be facing nearly as close to the type of setback most teams would be facing after losing their starter at quarterback thanks to having Garoppolo around. Yet, it is easy to see them struggling on the road against a good defense and an experienced quarterback in Wilson. The road underdog at plus money looks like a good play to start this 49ers vs Broncos parlay.

Pick #2: Deebo Samuel Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Deebo Samuel has yet to have a big receiving game this season after switching to having Trey Lance as his quarterback. So the return of Garoppolo may be a welcome sight as Deebo thrived as receiver with Garoppolo as the starter for the San Francisco 49ers.
In 2021, Samuel had 11 games with 59 receiving yards or more. With Jimmy G back under center, the Niners offense might start to utilize Samuel as a pass catcher a bit more than with Lance in the first two games. Even if that isn’t the case, last season’s game logs indicate Samuel is due for a more productive receiving game anytime now. It might as well be on primetime with his old quarterback back in the saddle.

Pick #3: George Kittle Over 45.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
George Kittle is officially back, making his first appearance in 2022 after missing the first two games of the season. That is welcome news for the 49ers offense, who lose their starting quarterback but gain one of the best tight ends in the league in Kittle for Week 3.
Like Samuel, Kittle has a longstanding relationship playing catch with Jimmy G on Sundays. He also is known to receive a considerable amount of targets from Garoppolo, which should help him put up enough yardage to cash a fairly set Over 45.5 yards on Sunday night.

49ers vs Broncos Preview
Russell Wilson is one of the most hated players amongst 49ers fans due to his lengthy stay in the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks. The Niners-Seahawks rivalry was the most bitter feud of the 2010s in the NFL and Wilson was at the focal point of it all. Wilson is 16-4 against San Francisco in his career, contributing to why he is so hated amongst 49ers fans.
Denver listed 10 players as questionable on their Friday injury report as the Broncos could be a little banged up if some of their questionables turn into Sunday absences. Most notable on the Denver injury list are wideout Jerry Jeudy and cornerback Patrick Surtain.
The Broncos have struggled in the red zone in their first two games under Hackett. Denver has failed to score a touchdown in their first five trips inside the 10 yard line this season. That has to change if the Broncos want to make the playoffs in a competitive AFC West.
