Why Bet the Nuggets:
✅ The Suns don’t have a defensive answer for Jamal Murray, who scored 34 points in Game 1 of this series. Murray’s ability to get where he wants to score in this series makes the Nuggets a great bet to win Game 2.
✅ Denver dominated the Suns on the glass in the first game of this series, going +11 on the boards in that game. A similar advantage will be had here to help Denver get another win.
✅ The depth of the Nuggets is far superior to that of the Suns, which will tilt this series in the favor of the Nuggets, especially here in Game 2.

Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns did not look like a championship caliber team in Game 1 against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. Outside of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, no member of the team scored 15 or more points. That needs to change if the Suns are going to have any chance at coming back in this series against a deeper Nuggets team.
While the bench of the Suns is a huge concern right now, just as big a concern is the play of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton. Those two players combined for 25 points in Game 1, which is not nearly good enough. Look for both Paul and Ayton to try and do more to help their team compete in the second game of this series.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets got everything they wanted in the first game of this series with the Phoenix Suns. They were the better outside shooting team, they were the better rebounding team, and they were the better team off the bench. In Game 2, the Nuggets will look to maintain those advantages to take a 2-0 lead over the team that was expected to win the Western Conference.
Along with their depth, the biggest advantage for the Nuggets in this series might just be the fact that they have simply been together for more time. Their chemistry is way better than that of a Suns team that had only played a few games together as currently constructed before the playoffs. Look for that to continue to make a difference in this series, especially in games held in Denver.
