76ers vs Raptors Betting Pick
This game will be played at Scotiabank Centre at 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Why Bet The Raptors:
✅ The start of this season has been a disaster for the Philadelphia 76ers. They are 1-3, with their lone win coming against a Pacers team that has more or less resigned itself to the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes this year. Philly’s offense has struggled early this season, with their 107.5 points per game being worse than all but three teams in the East, which will cost them here.
✅ On the flip side, the Toronto Raptors have been locked in defensively to start this season. They are number two in the Eastern Conference in scoring defense through their first four games, which is something we have come to expect from them under Nick Nurse. The combination of Toronto’s defense and the Sixers’ offensive struggles will favor the Raptors on Wednesday night.

✅ There is something of a revenge angle to be taken from this contest between the Sixers and Raptors. The Raptors were handled rather easily in the first round of the postseason by Philadelphia. Expect a revenge-minded Raptors team to treat this game with much more gravity than the Sixers en route to a Toronto victory.
Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are off to a 1-3 start this season. They lost to the Celtics and Bucks to kick off their campaign, which would not be cause for concern given the quality of those two teams. But they also lost to the San Antonio Spurs at home, a team whose season win total was in the 20s going into the year. Here, the Sixers face an opponent they proved they could beat in last year’s playoffs, with the question being if they can raise their level for this contest in Canada.
For the Sixers, Joel Embiid will have a huge edge against every member of the Raptors, as they lack a true center to guard him. But Embiid and James Harden have not been the problem for the Sixers of late. Instead, it is the complete lack of production from the Sixers bench, which is averaging a league-worst 17.5 points per game early in this campaign.
Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors are off to a 2-2 start this season, beating the Cavaliers at home, losing to the Nets on the road, and splitting two road games against the Miami Heat. This will be just the second home game of the year for the Raptors in their fifth game of the season. And the Raptors will be looking for revenge in this contest against a 76ers team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
For the Raptors, pressuring the ball when it is in James Harden’s possession will be critical in this contest. Harden is tied with Joel Embiid for the team lead in scoring, after which there is a huge drop-off for the Sixers. If the Raptors can scheme the ball out of Harden’s hands and make Embiid and a collection of struggling players try and beat them, the Raptors could get the revenge they are after.
