76ers vs Raptors
The Raptors and 76ers will clash in Philly for Game 2 of their first round series. The 76ers were nothing short of dominant in Game 1, notching a 131-111 win.
76ers vs Raptors Game 2 tips off at 730PM EST on Monday April 18th, 2022. The game will be played at the Wells Fargo Center.
Game 1 was an ugly outcome for the Raptors. Sadly, for them, Game 2 is not setting up to be any better. In fact, it is setting up to be worse. The Raptors are not going to be at full strength, as Game 1 was more costly than just in the loss column. Scottie Barnes hurt an ankle. Gary Trent came down with an illness and Thad Young hurt a thumb. It is fully expected that all three of these player sit out for Game 2.

Why Bet The 76ers
✅ The injuries for the Raptors are the most obvious and impactful variable heading into Game 2. While top stars Pascal Siakam and Fred Vanvleet will be on the floor, they will be missing significant pieces. Thad Young is just a rotational player, but that is certainly not the case for Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent. While OG Anunoby will step up and play more minutes, there is certainly a void to be filled on the wing. The problem with the Raptors roster is they will have to play bigger given their available options. Unless Yuta Watanabe is going to see a big spike in minutes, it will be Chris Boucher getting more run.
✅ The Raptors playing bigger has not always been a bad thing this season. That said, they had huge problems with perimeter defense in Game 1. The 76ers starting backcourt notched 60 points, with Tyrese Maxey being the star of the game. More attention paid to Maxey of course means less attention paid to James Harden. The Raptors roster in its current state is woefully unequipped to handle the 76ers backcourt.
✅ Perhaps the most alarming thing for the Raptors in Game 1 was the relative lack of production from Joel Embiid overlaid with the result. Embiid had the fewest field goal attempts of any game since early March. Compared to his scoring average, he was unproductive. Given the Raptors were blown out anyway, it is difficult to find even glimmers of hope for the Raptors. They are now down players and set up to be blown out once again. This 76ers vs Raptors series may well be a short one.
