Pelicans vs Hawks Betting Pick
This game will be played at State Farm Center at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
Why Bet The Hawks:
✅ The Pelicans played last night against the Golden State Warriors, and could sit some key players for this game. Specifically, Brandon Ingram is someone to watch on the injury management front. Ingram returned to the Pelicans lineup last night, and may not play the second night of a back to back so soon.

✅ This is the first Hawks home game in a long time, as they played five straight road games prior to this contest. The Hawks are 2-1 at home on the season, having played their first three games in Atlanta to start the year. Expect them to play well at home once again here to pick up a win over a quality Pelicans team.
✅ The guard duo of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray is going to be too much for the Pelicans to deal with. Murray’s defense will make things tough on C.J. McCollum, which will force the Pelicans to get too much of their scoring from their frontcourt.
New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Golden State Warriors last night, benefiting from the Warriors sitting several key players on a back to back on Friday. Now the Pelicans are on the second leg of a back to back, and it will be interesting to see what personnel moves they make ahead of this game.
Specifically, it will be interesting to see how they handle Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram tonight. They have both dealt with recent injuries and the Pelicans could sit them to avoid risking any sort of further ailments. If they do that, the Pelicans would be at a massive disadvantage here.
Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks are off to a 5-3 start to this season, and have played the majority of their games on the road to start the year. They are coming off of a five-game road trip, and get a Pelicans team that is on the second leg of a back to back in their return home.
For the Hawks, the ability to defend the paint will be the big question mark for this game. Jonas Valanciunas and Clint Capela are both going to have their moments against one another. But if Williamson plays, the Hawks may not have the bodies to handle everyone at the rim.
