Nuggets vs Knicks Betting Pick
This game will be played at Madison Square Garden at 1:00 PM ET on Saturday, December 3, 2021.
Why Bet The Knicks:
✅ The Knicks haven’t been great lately, losing two straight games to the Nets and Bulls. But they will get a key piece of their lineup back in the form of RJ Barrett for this game. This should be Barrett’s first full game since the Knicks switched up their rotation, and he will make a difference right away as the Knicks look to get their lineup solidified.
✅ Denver, meanwhile, is absolutely ravaged by injuries and illnesses at this point in time. While Nikola Jokic is back from a wrist injury, the Nuggets are set to be without Michael Porter Jr., PJ Dozier, Austin Rivers and Bones Hyland for this game. They will be very shorthanded beyond their starting five, and the Knicks’ second unit should reap the benefits.

✅ Denver is a miserable 3-7 straight up on the road this season, with two of those wins coming against an undermanned Heat team and the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the Knicks haven’t been great on their home floor, they should have just enough juice to get over the line at home against the Nuggets.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets dropped their last game on the road against the Orlando Magic earlier this week. That loss was their seventh in their last eight games, with their lone win during that stretch coming against a Heat team missing Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro. In this game against the Knicks, Denver is going to have to rely very heavily on reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic to generate offense.
Jokic, like Nikola Vucevic on Thursday for the Bulls, should be able to take advantage of Mitchell Robinson’s lack of desire to leave the paint defensively. Jokic will get plenty of perimeter looks as a result. But that may not be enough for a Nuggets team that is set to be without a half-dozen players who would normally see the court.
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks were once again competitive against an Eastern Conference contender on Thursday, but once again fell just short. This time, the Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls, with a 20-point comeback being brushed aside by the Bulls in the final minutes of that game. In back to back games, the Knicks looked like they could beat the Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets, but just couldn’t finish the job against either squad.
If the Knicks want to win this game, they are going to need to figure out a way to slow down Nikola Jokic. They should be able to get in the way of Aaron Gordon, and should have a huge advantage when the second units are on the floor. But if the Knicks can’t figure out how to guard Jokic wherever he is on the floor, the Knicks could drop another tight game here.
