Nuggets vs Warriors Game 5 Betting Pick
This game will be played at Chase Center at 10:00 PM ET on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Why Bet The Warriors:
✅ The Golden State Warriors did not appear to take Game 4 against the Nuggets as seriously as they did the other games. They gave Jonathan Kuminga a ton of run and did not play as hard to close out the series as they will in Game 5. Expect the Warriors to get back to what we saw in the first three games of this series as they will cover and advance.
✅ Golden State has been way better on defense at home than they were on the road in this series. The Warriors have allowed 106.5 points per game on defense this postseason, while giving up 113 or more points in their two road games. They will be more physical with Nikola Jokic with a friendly home whistle, helping them win big.

✅ Jordan Poole struggled in Game 4 after shooting the lights out in the first three games of the series. Back at home, he will play more like he did in the first three games, and the Warriors will benefit from that. Aaron Gordon, meanwhile, should take a step back after being so effective on both ends of the floor for the Nuggets in Game 4.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets managed to avoid the first round sweep at the hands of the Warriors when they won Game 4 at home. Denver got a nice offensive contribution from Monte Morris and Aaron Gordon in Game 4, something they were not getting earlier in the series. The question for Denver now is whether those contributions will continue to come with the series back in San Francisco.
If the Nuggets are going to extend this series once again, they are going to need to figure out how to survive defensively with Nikola Jokic on the floor late in games. The Warriors are hunting Jokic with their pick and roll actions late in games, forcing Jokic to guard Steph Curry. If Denver cannot come up with a consistent workaround for that, they will see their season end after Game 5.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors appeared to let up a little bit in Game 4 against the Nuggets, forcing them to come home to play Game 5. Now the Warriors should have a heightened sense of urgency, as they know a loss here puts them a road loss away from having to play in a Game 7. Fortunately for the Warriors, they should be able to get the job done as a favorite on their home floor on Wednesday night.
Klay Thompson will look to have another huge game for the Warriors to help them seal up this series in five games. Thompson made seven of his 11 three-point shot attempts in Game 4, making up for the struggles of Steph Curry and Jordan Poole from long range. If Thompson can shoot like that again in Game 5, this series could be over.
