Cavaliers vs Lakers Betting Pick
This game will be played at Crypto.com Arena at 3:30 PM ET on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Why Bet The Cavaliers:
✅ The Cavaliers should have an advantage on the interior going into this matchup with the Lakers. Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley should combine to neutralize Anthony Davis and take advantage of the subpar options at the center position for Los Angeles. That will propel the Cavs to a victory, even if the Cavs are banged up in the backcourt.

✅ The Cavaliers lost their first game this season, then followed that up with seven straight wins. Meanwhile, the Lakers are lucky to even have two wins this season after hitting a miracle shot at the end of regulation and beating the Pelicans in overtime last week. Expect Cleveland to continue to roll here, as long as Donovan Mitchell and/or Darius Garland are able to play.
✅ Los Angeles is still a bottom-three offensive team in the Western Conference so far this season. They are averaging 108.5 points per game. Only the Rockets and Clippers have averaged fewer points per game in the West so far this year, and that offensive ineptitude will cost them dearly against a solid Cavs team.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers are off to an impressive start to this season, going 7-1 through their first eight games. Their lone loss came in game one on the road against the Toronto Raptors, as they lost by three points North of the border. Here, the Cavs look to remain unbeaten in the United States this season against a struggling Lakers squad.
For the Cavaliers, there are a couple of injury-related question marks heading into this matchup. The Cavs have Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland listed as questionable coming into this one. If they cannot play, the Cavs will still have an edge on the interior, but they would lose their decisive advantage in the guard department.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are 2-6, and have the second worst record in the Western Conference. Only the Houston Rockets have a worse record than the Lakers out West. But the Lakers have won home games against the Pelicans and Nuggets this year, and can’t be counted out at Crypto.com Arena just yet.
For the Lakers, defense is going to be the key to this game. With an offense that has struggled as much as the Lakers offense has, getting stops against the potent Cavaliers will be paramount to LeBron James and company having a shot here.
