Nets vs Wizards Betting Pick
This game will be played at Capital One Arena at 7:30 PM ET on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Why Bet The Nets:
✅ Both Nets and Wizards have some serious injury problems. Washington lost its superstar guard Bradley Beal for the season due to a wrist injury, while Daniel Gafford is in the medical protocols. On the other side, Brooklyn misses Kevin Durant (knee), Joe Harris (ankle), and LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle), while both James Harden and Nicolas Claxton are questionable to play due to hamstring issues. At least, the Nets can count on Kyrie Irving, who has to step up and help his team breaks out of its funk. The seven-time All-Star has averaged 25.0 points and 5.9 assists per game over his last nine outings. He’ll be the best player on the floor in this matchup by far.
✅ These two teams have been a complete disaster over the last few weeks, and the 29-25 Nets desperately need to regain their winning mentality. Brooklyn is riding a nine-game losing streak, going 1-8 against the spread in the process. On the other side, the 24-29 Wizards have gone 1-8 SU and ATS in their last nine showings. They’ve covered only twice in their previous 16 games overall.

✅ The Wizards lack a true leader. Kyle Kuzma has played well lately, averaging 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds over his last nine games, but Spencer Dinwiddie, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Dani Avdija have all been pretty much terrible as of late. The Wizards’ offense is in shambles. Washington has scored 98 or fewer points in four of its past seven games. The Nets, on the flip side, will try to get more from rookie guard Cam Thomas, who’s accounted for 67 points over his last three appearances. Patty Mills is another player in the Nets’ backcourt who’ll look to make the difference.
Brooklyn Nets
The Nets extended their losing streak to nine games this past Tuesday, suffering a heavy 126-91 defeat to the Boston Celtics. They were listed as huge 9.5-point home dogs, but the Nets embarrassed themselves, trailing 28-2 with five minutes left on the clock in the first quarter.
With KD, Harden, and Irving all on the shelf, Jevon Carter led the way for Brooklyn with 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting from deep. Cam Thomas had 17 points and five rebounds, while David Duke Jr. added 17 points and five assists. The Nets made only 38.4% of their field goals and 27.8% of their triples (10-for-36).
Washington Wizards
The Wizards are coming off a 121-100 defeat to the Miami Heat last Monday. They failed to cover as 7-point home underdogs, recording the second consecutive loss since a surprising 106-103 victory at the Philadelphia 76ers on February 2.
Washington went only 7-for-31 from downtown against Miami. The Wizards struggled on the defensive end as well, allowing the Heat to score at will. Miami handed out 29 assists and made 18 of its 32 attempts from beyond the arc.
