Nets vs Bucks Betting Pick
This game will be played at Fiserv Forum at 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Why Bet The Bucks:
✅ These two teams have been on completely different levels defensively so far this season. Milwaukee is allowing 96.5 points per game early on, while the Nets have allowed 123 points per game to start their year. The addition of Ben Simmons has not helped the defense of the Nets yet, as they have continuity concerns that the Bucks do not.
✅ With the defensive woes of the Nets on full display so far this season, this is a terrible time for them to play the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo is shooting 70% from the field so far this year, and there will not be nearly enough resistance to slow him down here.

✅ Bench scoring is a huge advantage for the Bucks over the Nets so far this season. Milwaukee is getting 35.5 points per game from its second unit, which ranks in the top-half of the league. Brooklyn, meanwhile, is getting 24.3 bench points per game, which ranks 27th in the NBA going into this contest.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are off to a 1-2 start to this season, dropping games to the Pelicans and Grizzlies and beating the Raptors. The defense of the Nets has been a disaster, giving up 130 or more in both of their losses. If the Nets want to beat the Bucks in this contest, they are going to need to bring more on the defensive end of the floor.
In order to play better on defense, the Nets are going to need Ben Simmons to do a better job of staying on the floor. Simmons has fouled out in two of the Nets’ three games this season. He is on this team almost exclusively to help on defense and to distribute the ball on offense. If he cannot stay out of foul trouble against an explosive Bucks team, he can’t help in either of those areas.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have won their first two games to start this season, beating the Philadelphia 76ers and Houston Rockets. This game against the Nets will be the biggest test of the season so far for the Bucks. But the defense of Milwaukee will have them in a great position to take care of business against the struggling Nets.
One area where the Bucks will need to be better going into this contest is the turnover department. Milwaukee has either tied or exceeded their opponent in turnovers in each of their first two games. Giving extra possessions to Kevin Durant and company is really the only way that the Bucks can lose this contest at home on Wednesday night.
