UFC 276 is pay per view card that takes place on Saturday July 2nd, 2022. The UFC promotion will remain in Las Vegas, but the event will not take place at the Apex, as is customary. We move venues for the pay per view event of UFC 276 to the T-Mobile Arena. The first week in July is always international fight week, and we can always count on the UFC to bring us a banger of an event for that week. This year is certainly no exception, and this card is hot enough to start a fire.
Even losing the Miesha Tate fight this week, we still have a 12 fight card, headlined by two title fights. The first fighters will make the walk at 630PM EST. The card consists of three fights on the early prelims. Four fights on the televised prelims and five fights on the main pay per view card. The early prelims stream on ESPN+ and Fight Pass. The televised prelims are on ABC and ESPN. The pay per view streams once again on ESPN+.

Quick Look Back
We had an exceptional week last week. Our three bets were a perfect 3-0, two of which coming with plus figures attached at fight time. Our last play of the night was Thiago Moises, and our only favorite. He needed all of three minutes to get the submission on Christos Giagos. By comparison, that is as much sweat as we had on any of our plays. Cody Durden started the night by sleeping JP Buys in just over a minute. Carlos Ulberg followed that up by knocking out Tafon Nchukwi in just over a minute. Moises simply rounded out the perfect night. We will look to keep that rolling on the brilliant fight card.
UFC 276 Fight Card
This UFC 276 card brings us everything we could ever hope for. It has massive star power and draw at the very top with the pair of championship fights. The card has a title eliminator for the next shot at one of those belts. It has rising stars and veterans that have been champions. There is little chance this card is a let down on any level.
UFC 276 Main Event
The main event is a championship fight in the middleweight division. Champion Israel Adesanya is set as a -430 favorite against Jared Cannonier.
Adesanya has not been on the greatest stretch of his career. After his meteoric rise to the top, his last three fights have brought his first loss and brought some uncertainty. He lost to Jan Blachowicz in his attempt to become a dual champ at light heavyweight. He followed that up with an easy-ish win against Marvin Vettori, but he was taken down four times in that fight. His most recent fight was a decision win against Robert Whittaker, but that fight truly could have gone either way. The champ would have had no beef at all if the judges opted for him to lose his belt.
Matchup With Cannonier
Enter Jared Cannonier. Since his drop to middleweight, Cannonier has won five of six fights. His lone loss was to Whittaker and a completely understandable one. Cannonier is a massive middleweight that has fought as high as heavyweight. He brings a very high degree of physicality and power in his strikes. His ground and pound is especially nasty.
Cannonier will have to do his best to continually close the distance and not let Adesanya stay at the comfortability of range. Adesanya is a master of keeping range and touching opponents without being touched himself. Cannonier will do best to try to create chaos and be something of a bull in a china shop. Adesanya will take every round in which he is not taken down or dropped, so if we see the scorecards the champ is going to retain. The onus for Cannonier will be to land the one bomb power shot or get his ground and pound working immediately after any takedown, he will need a finish.
The -430 price tag is one I have no interest in when it comes to betting the favorite. There is no value in betting Adesanya, who has not been as dominant as we grew accustomed to of late. In a dog or pass spot, this title fight is one better enjoyed viewing than wagering on.
UFC 276 Co-Main Event
The co-main event is for the featherweight championship, and is a trilogy fight. Champion Alexander Volkanovski is a -195 favorite over challenger and long time champion Max Holloway. It is rare we get a trilogy when the same fighter wins the first two fights, but here we are. If we are honest, the booking speaks volumes of who Dana and the matchmakers thought won that second fight. We will have a wager on this fight, so much more on this one later.
Remainder Of UFC 276 Fight Card
This is as good as it gets from an undercard perspective. On the early prelims alone, we have two fighters that are likely future title contenders at the top of the division. Both of this fighters take on seasoned veterans. Maycee Barber takes on Jessica Eye Andre Muniz takes on Uriah Hall.
On the televised prelims, there is a fighter or fight to watch from top to bottom. In the first two fights we get to see the next steps taken for Dricus Du Plessis and Ian Garry. We then get the matchup of the most combined UFC fights ever between Jim Miller and Cowboy Cerrone. Finally we have an absolute banger that should be on the main card. Jalin Turner and Brad Riddell face each other in an awesome matchup that will tell us which fighter is next to take a big step up the rankings at lightweight.
Finally, the pay per view undercard is awesome as well! Sean O’Malley gets by far his biggest test to date in Pedro Munhoz. We then get a slug fest between veterans Robbie Lawler and Bryan Barbarena. This one is going to see a lot of strikes landed. The last fight before the title fight is almost certainly a title eliminator between Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira. This is absolutely a fight to watch and would easily main event a Fight Night card.
