Marc-Andre Barriault vs Jordan Wright Fight Odds
Marc-Andre Barriault vs Jordan Wright
Fight is at a catchweight of 190 lbs and is -200 to end inside the distance.
Marc-Andre Barriault will look to bounce back after an ugly knock out loss in his most recent fight. He takes the fight on short notice to replace Roman Kopylov. That is the reason for the 190 lb catchweight nature of the fight.

Barriault is a fairly well rounded and strong fighter. He is sound enough with his striking and wrestling, but does his best work bullying opponents in the clinch. Working all levels of his opponents in tight is where he finds the most success. He has also had more excitement in his fights of late. Barriault started his UFC tenure with three straight decision losses, but things have picked up since then. He finished Oskar Piechota and Abu Azaitar with strikes. He then won a decision against Dalcha Lungiambula and finally was starched in the first round by Chidi Njokuani.
The knock out results are likely to continue for at least one more fight. Barriault draws an opponent in Jordan Wright who has had his fights exclusively end via KO. All five of his fights under the UFC banner have ended in KO on one side or the other. Four of which have come in a minute and a half or less.
Wright is a striker that does bring danger early on in fights. Wright does his best work at range and does have the power to finish his opponents. He will be looking to put a repeat of Barriault’s most recent fight on him in the first couple of minutes.
What To Bet
The problem for Wright is he slows down quite early in fights, but more so that he responds terribly to taking damage. He is not a fighter that has remotely been able to press through being rocked. Once strikes are landing clean, his chin has far too much propensity for giving out.
I do favor Barriault to win this fight, however I do not believe a bet on him is the best avenue of attack. This is a fight where Wright will be knocked out if he is unable to go get his own first round knock out. For me this has the feel as one of the fights that has a roughly -500 fight ends inside the distance line, but luckily that line only sits at -200. That will be our avenue of attack as Wright tries to kill before inevitably being killed himself.
Betting Pick: Fight ends inside the distance -200
