That includes averaging 1.26 home runs to just 1.04 for the Orioles. Texas scored 42 runs over their last eight games while Baltimore has scored 25 in their last eight.
Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles got on a tear, pushing them 3.5 games behind Tampa Bay for the final wildcard spot in the AL. Baltimore hopes the right-hander Spenser Watkins is able to keep the momentum going. Baltimore is 21st in runs scored per game (4.24), and it has been the performance of a mediocre offense, ranked 24th in batting average (.234) and in OPS (.686).
Texas Rangers
The Rangers took three of four from the Los Angeles Angels over the weekend, scoring 21 runs in the four contests. It is not surprising, as this club is 11th in runs per game (4.61), driven primarily by the long ball. The Rangers are ninth in homeruns with 126 and have hit 60 home runs in their 47 home contests.
Both clubs have a very good bullpen, with Baltimore fourth at 3.05 and Texas 12th at 3.79.
