The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game is good one, per usual, as the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the #14 Miami Hurricanes play in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Alabama is the defending National Champion and Miami has high expectation for 2021. This game will air live on ABC at 3:30 p.m. EST.
Alabama produced a perfect 2020 season that saw them finish 13-0 (10-0 in the SEC), win another SEC Championship, and another National Championship. The Crimson Tide steamrolled through their entire schedule as they only had one game finish with a single digit margin. Nick Saban rolled over a lot of talent, and a coaching staff, like he does every offseason, but another National Championship is in sight.
Miami enjoyed a successful 2020 season that saw them end 8-3 (7-2 in the ACC) and Cheez-It Bowl appearance. The Hurricanes lost their bowl game, 37-34 to Oklahoma State, but the return of QB D’Eriq King has expectation high in Coral Gables. Head Coach Manny Diaz has his best team in his short coaching stint.

Alabama appears to have another superstar QB waiting in the wing as Sophomore Bryce Young will look to be the next great Crimson Tide QB. The offensive line will also be stacked with Evan Neal and Emil Ekiyor will anchor an expected strong unit. Defensively, Alabama has all the linebackers as Christian Harris, Chistopher Allen, Will Anderson, and Henry To’o To’o will led the strongest defensive unit in the country.
Miami returns dual-threat, superstar, QB D’Eriq King, though it remains to be seen how he responds to coming back so quickly from a knee injury in the final game of the 2020 season. RB Cam’Ron Harris, WR Mike Harley, and TE Will Mallory provide the offensive weapons Miami needs to compete in the 2020 season. Defensively, Safeties Bubba Bolden and Avante Williams will look to lead a strong Miami defensive unit.
