South Dakota State vs Boise State Betting Pick
This game will be played at ExtraMile Arena at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
Why Bet On Boise State:
✅ South Dakota State lost its top weapons from a season ago, including all three of the players who averaged double figures for them.
✅ Boise State also lost some of its top talent, but relies much heavier on their defense, which will suit them early in the season as they get things figured out.
✅ The Broncos won 11 of their final 12 games at home last season, and will pick up where they left off in Boise here.

South Dakota State Jackrabbits
South Dakota State started its 2022-23 season with a loss, falling in overtime to the Akron Zips on Monday. They gave up 31 points to Xavier Castaneda, and could not make up for that in what was a tight contest. Here, the Jackrabbits will look to rev up their offense to get into the win column against a Boise State team that prides itself on its defense.
The question for the Jackrabbits this season is who will step up to fill the void left by their top scorers no longer being a part of the equation for them. South Dakota State ran eight deep in their first game, a signal that depth could be a concern. But if they can find some consistent scoring at the top of that rotation, they could win this game and live up to their standing as the second team in the Summit League preseason poll.
Boise State Broncos
Boise State will open its season here against South Dakota State, and they come into this season in an interesting position. The Mountain West is set to be competitive as always this year, and the Broncos are being picked to finish in the middle of the pack by most. The question for the Broncos is whether or not they can once again be more than the sum of their parts.
Last year, Boise State finished the season 13th in the country in points per game allowed. If they can play similar defense this year, they can make up for the fact that they will not have Abu Kigab or Emmanuel Akot this time around. However, that is way easier said than done.
