UCR at Arizona State Betting Preview
It is great having the college basketball season back, with fans, and there is an interesting contest Thursday night when the UC Riverside Highlanders (0-1) visit the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-0). Both teams should be competing for top four spots in their respective conferences, and this could be a close contest. This game will air live on the Pac-12 Network.
UC Riverside was picked to finish third in both the coaches and media preseason Big West polls. Riverside was picked behind UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine. Sophomore guard Zyon Pullin was selected to the preseason All-Big West Coachesโ Team.
Arizona State was picked to finish in the middle of the Pac-12, but spots 4-8 is very congested out West
Below is my pick, and preview, for the battle between the UC Riverside Highlanders and Arizona State Sun Devils.

UCR at Arizona State Betting Pick
UC Riverside opened their season with a 66-53 road loss to the San Diego State Aztecs. The Highlanders were outclassed in the first half, losing 40-30, but put up a fight in the second half as things started to click more. UCR shot just 29.2% from the field and went just 6-22 (27.3%) from beyond the arc. Callum McRae led the team with 13 points and J.P. Moorman II had a nice all-around game with nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. The UCR defense allowed SDSU to shoot 46.9% from the field, but just 2-11 (18.2%) from the three-point line.
Arizona State opened their season with a 76-60 home defeat of the Portland Pilots. I would have expected ASU to win by 20+ in this one, but a slow start meant the Sun Devils needed a big second half to get their 16-point win. Five different Sun Devils notched double-digit points and Kimani Lawrence led the way with 19 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. The ASU offense shot 47.0% from the field and went 7-26 (26.9%) from beyond the arc.
