Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats Betting Preview
The Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats meet for the second straight week, although this time they’ll be playing at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton. That could be enough to see a different outcome, as Hamilton is 2-2 at home and 0-4 on the road, while Toronto is 3-2 at home and 1-1 on the road.
The Argonauts trailed 14-6 at half last week and 17-16 entering the fourth quarter but scored TDs on a blocked punt and an interception in the fourth quarter to take the 34-20 victory. Neither team could completely capitalize on their opportunities, with both teams attempting four field goals.
The Tiger-Cats held a 387-296 yardage advantage last week, but had two turnovers and were stopped on downs once, while the Argonauts didn’t have a turnover. The game didn’t see a lot of penalties, with just seven combined, although one of the four against Toronto was a 38-yard pass interference call.
Both teams rushed the ball 17 times a week ago, with the Tiger-Cats gaining 78 and Toronto gaining 66, so neither team was a huge threat to run. Hamilton ran more plays than Toronto and finished with a 34:01 to 23:59 edge in time of possession.

Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats Pick & Prediction
This is a much bigger game for Hamilton than it is for Toronto. Even with a 4-3 record, the Argonauts have a 2.5-game lead in the East, as Hamilton and Montreal are tied for second place with identical 2-6 records. The Tiger-Cats probably deserved a little better last week but the Argonauts did make the plays in the fourth quarter when needed.
The Tiger-Cats talked about getting backup Matt Shiltz into the game more, but last week he ran just once and attempted two passes. Have to believe he’ll see a little bit more playing time in this one and think Hamilton can come out on top.
