Alouettes vs Blue Bombers Betting Preview
Montreal and Winnipeg meet for the second straight week and the Blue Bombers will be looking to duplicate last week’s 35-20 victory. Even though the final score was a bit lopsided, the game was a little closer, both on the scoreboard and in the stats. The Blue Bombers held a 362-279 yardage advantage, but this one was tied entering the fourth quarter and Winnipeg scored three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter, with the second one being a punt return and the third was a 17-yard drive following an interception.

Montreal quarterback Trevor Harris isn’t 100% but is expected to go under center. With Vernon Adams still out, Dominique Davis is No. 2 on the depth chart this week and he didn’t look all that bad in mop-up time last week. Still, Davis is a better runner than passer and that’s when you want him in the game.
The Blue Bombers are playing their ninth straight week, but have a bye after this game, giving players a chance to heal some nagging injuries. Zach Collaros wasn’t at his best last week, throwing two touchdowns but was also picked off three times, keeping the game a little closer than it could have been.
Winnipeg had its rushing game working last week, gaining 152 yards on 23 attempts, which helped them have a 31:54 to 28:06 time of possession advantage. The Bombers will likely look to do more of the same this week against a Montreal defense that is allowing 112.6 yards per game and 5.3 yards per attempt, both of which are No. 8 in the CFL.

Alouettes vs Blue Bombers Pick & Prediction
The line may be a shade on the high side here, which is going to happen when the only remaining unbeaten team takes the field. Historically, it’s not a great spot for the Blue Bombers, with teams going 7-12-1 ATS after covering five straight games and 5-12 ATS when a team has won and covered at least its last five games.
Montreal is seldom completely outclassed despite its dismal 2-6 record and last week was a prime example of how things have gone for Montreal this season. The Alouettes hit the crossbar on a field goal attempt in the fourth quarter when it was still a 14-14 game and Winnipeg turned around and scored three TDs in less than six minutes to turn the game into a runaway.
