Lions vs Argonauts Betting Preview
The CFL finally got to see the Vernon Adams everyone was expecting, as he looked like the Adams of old last week, throwing for 305 yards and two touchdowns in British Columbia’s win against Ottawa. The game was definitely a confidence booster for both Adams and the Lions, but can he do it two weeks in a row? The Lions were helped by James Butler’s 89 rushing yards on 16 carries, while Adams added 38 yards on the ground in what was his best game of the season. The Lions did allow five sacks, so the offensive line will have to do a better job and Adams needs to get rid of the ball sooner.
Last week’s game was basically over at halftime, as the Lions led 24-6 and made it 27-6 in the third quarter before Ottawa got on the scoreboard, so the game wasn’t quite as close as the final score indicated.
Mcleod Bethel-Thompson and the Argonauts have played their way to an 8-6 record, leading the East by a game over Montreal, so this is a key game for the Argos, who were completely thumped by Calgary last week. Toronto only had 296 total yards and were intercepted three times, so you’re not going to score much when that happens, although you expect more than two singles for the game.
Toronto is No. 5 in scoring offense and No. 4 in scoring but somehow have been winning, despite looking unimpressive at times during the year. Toronto has a scoring margin of +1.0 on the season, but have had a tough time with teams from the West, going 2-4 straight-up.

Lions vs Argonauts Pick & Prediction
British Columbia has a half-game lead over Calgary for the No. 2 spot in the West and can’t afford to drop this one, so you should expect a decent effort from the Lions, who have been a better road team this season, going 5-1.
Toronto is a better team than they showed last week, as their four-game winning streak came to an end in ugly fashion. Have to think Bethel-Thompson will bounce back with a decent game here.
